Description

An alpha male vampire is about to get a second chance at love in this paranormal romance novella from a New York Times–bestselling author.

Caleb Donovan was never meant to be a prophet. At heart he's a conqueror with appetites far more carnal than spiritual. He's not inclined to repress his passions and surrender to fate. After all, that's what cost him Lily—three centuries ago. She married another, because it was ordained. Now that he's in the same benighted calling—and forced into proximity with her—all the old desires are roaring back to life…

After widowhood and centuries of celibacy, Lily is eager to explore the wild side of life, except now she's vulnerable to another forced relationship, with an enemy. This time she's determined to choose her own path. And if hot, furious Caleb comes charging to the rescue, it might just change both their destinies…

4.75* This was another amazing addition to the Dark Protectors series. I just can't get enough of these books and I'm very sad that the series will come to a close with the next book. Caleb Donovan was never meant to be a prophet. He's a fighter not a peace maker. Lily Sotheby chose duty over her hearts desire 3 century's ago. Now that the virus has changed everything Lily wants a chance to experience life on the wilder side. Let me tell you Caleb is one hot vampire and when Lily lets her proper shield down...WOW. But with the upcoming Peace Talks between all the species of the Realm the Prophet's are having nightmares about doing Fates biding. Can they figure this out before something terrible happens? I received this from Netgalley and Kensington Books in exchange for the honest review.
