Description

Alma Harper and her friends are lost in Widowsfield. They're trapped in a lie created by The Skeleton Man, and even death provides no escape. As they struggle to discover the truth about the once sleepy town, a new evil emerges: The Watcher in the Walls. As the lies are exposed, the liars are revealed, and the only way out of the maze is to fall into the lies and disappear.

As Alma struggles to find a way out of Widowsfield, a new character comes to town. Her name is Nia, and she is a gifted young woman that can pull memories out of the world around her. Of course, the true memories of Widowsfield are lost behind the lies. As she gets closer to the truth, others will attempt to exploit her gift.

All the while, The Skeleton Man plans his escape. What if he gets out?

This was a great follow 314. I love how the author twisted time and dimension and really made me think. I had to go back and look at dates on chapters to figure out what was what. I was kind of getting the idea as it got deeper in. I didn’t expect the depth of the paranormal, but it was definitely a great twist. Thanks for an awesome read!

I loved the lies! Having to Piece together the puzzle on my own makes for the best read!

This book although confusing at times turns out to be very entertaining and a original concept in the horror genre. I liked it a lot and recommend you read it now if you haven't yet. Pay close attention though, otherwise you can easily lose track of the true plot.

Read books one and two. They are twisted and interesting to read. I like the ideas behind them and they do make you want to read more. The jumping around in the time periods can be a little confusing, but does make the Book interesting and different.

These books have really surprised me. Since I read the first one for free I had low expectations, but it ended up being a very interesting and creepy story! I bought the 2nd immediately after finishing the first. Book 2 was a little jumbled, but still an excellent read. I can't wait to start on the last one and finally (hopefully), find out what really happened in Widowsfield.
  • Wickedly intelligent!

The first 314 book was hard for me to put down, this book was impossible! Great plot twists & reveals makes 314 book 2 a nail-biting page turner!

I immediately purchased the 2nd and 3rd ebooks in Wise's 314 series after reading through the first book in a couple days. I read through the second just as quickly, as it's hard to put down! I needed to figure out the puzzle and what was real and what was lies! I love horror books, but some of them so really freak me out and this certainly hasn't been any exception! I've had nightmares every night since beginning the series! As much as I dislike nightmares, I'm about to begin the 3rd and final book so I will know how all this madness ends! I recommend this series for any fan of mystery/horror, but this is not a book for the faint if heart. It is also not a book for those who don't have the patience – I believe Wise has set-up for the readers to become a bit confused and "insane" to help you better relate with the characters and story. At least, that's how it's made me feel! I just hope the nightmares stop once I've finished the 3rd book! ;)

A.R. Wise's incredible writing skills are displayed once again in this book. The scenes are written with horrifying detail and gore that I've come to love about this author. Unfortunately I felt like the plot was lacking. There were too many questions that came up throughout the book, and not nearly enough answers. I enjoyed the scene with the fog having to be relived again and again, with some slight variations each time. But I felt like new apparitions and characters were introduced that promised to give clues to the overall mystery, but ended up adding more confusion, which left me frustrated and unmotivated to continue reading. I know how the "groundhogs day" element was necessary to the book, but in the end it only made me feel as if nothing was happening. Perhaps if each relived scene provided insight to the mystery rather than simply horrify... It makes me sad to say this, but I don't think I have the patience to read through book 3 and I believe I will end my foray into this series. Until your next series, I will miss you A.R. Wise.

This book was crazy! In a good way I read it in 3 days because I couldn't put it down, if I didn't have to go to work or take care of my 1 year old son I would have read it in a day. I enjoyed the book a lot but I think that a 314 book 3 should definitely be thought about being written. What happens to Alma, Paul,Stephen and Rachel? Do they stop the skeleton man(Ben) I'd like those questions answered. Other then that great, great book!!
