As a young man in Poland, Karol Wojtyla had great devotion to Our Lady of Czestechowa. As pope, his first international trip was to the shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico. His papal motto, toto tuus (all for you), was directed to Our Lady. During his pontificate he added a new set of mysteries to the rosary.
