I have been on my caregiver journey for four years so much of what was in this book were things that I already knew or had read about before. It would be very helpful for someone new to the journey, but I have to be honest, I was a little let down. The one topic that I would have liked to have seen addressed was not even touched on and that is “how do you deal with the tremendous ups and downs/how do you actually know when your loved one is really starting to decline versus just being bored?” Overall the book was helpful but I was expecting more after all of the hype Julie made on social media.
