Mr. Gray is a very good story teller. The picturesque scenery along with colorful characters added to the appeal of the story.

Rapid action and loaded with cowboy 'lingo', this is a wonderous story of the old west and 'the cowboy way'. Tough cowpunchers and strong women making their way through a vast land of danger and purple sage. And crowned with a happy ending. I can almost hear the harness jingle and smell the horses and dust. The kind of book I could read to my mother - in fact I did read it to my 91 year mother. She loved it. Towards the end she didn't want me to put it down to fix dinner.
