My modest advice, start with Foundation, read through the end of the series and get back to this one. Enjoy the purity of “Foundation” first then get back to discover Harry Seldon. Whether you follow my advice or not, this is a fantastic series you’re about to start/continue. Enjoy...

Incredible realistic plot and a fitting beginning to one of the most famous and well respected sci fi series of all time. Oh how I would love to see this done as a film series-but with such nuance and detail I am not sure it should even be attempted or could even come close to doing service to the books

If you are thinking of reading Foundation read this first! It puts so much about Hari Seldon into perspective, I don't know how people could have read Foundation back in the 1950's without this great prequel (written in the 80's). I actually think like this book more than Foundation itself.

Journey through Trantor. I really liked this book. I thought Hari's journey through the different levels of Trantor was the prefect setting. I also enjoyed Hari's make-shift family. If you are a fan of the series, read this, you'll enjoy.
