Didn’t finish the book as a kid but now that I have the time to read again, I’m glad that I found this book. Would love to at least see a tv series on this book and hope they do it justice, but we will see. Strongly recommend.

I kind of grew up in a way together with these characters. I’ve read these books more than I can count and even more than anyone here reading has. I’m not trying to start a conflicted argument, but I’m saying these books are addicting. But they are also extremely easy to read. So when you have a amazing story + easy writing it equals = a fantastic, amazing, spectacular binge “read” not watch because it’s a book. So if you’re thinking of getting This don’t get this on audiobooks get the whole series and grow up with these characters because it’s so much freakin FUN!!. Ok enough with my “feelings” let’s talk about it. As far as the writing goes it’s pretty plain it’s no Dune lol. It feels like a plain old simple start to a never ending paradise of an adventure. The book might feel slow at first but as you get into the story over the next books; reading the full series multiple times makes this suspenseful wait worth it! Overall, my only complaint is the villain’s character development (also known as Admiral Hatch), is very slow. All I can say is it gets worth it and some parts. He just feels not solid sometimes. He is really good on the last book but the first book feels raw in some parts. Overall it’s a mission to success of a book series, just enjoy😊

Honestly this book was just kinda boring, it’s the same plot as any teenage superhero, a machine malfunctions giving them powers, now the corporation who made the machine wants to recreate them, although the different abilities of the characters are kinda neat
