Description

The Night Lords were once among the most potent forces of the Imperium, Space Marines who used fear itself as their weapon. Now, cast adrift from the Emperor’s light and hunted as heretics after their monstrous betrayal, the Night Lords clad themselves in symbols of death and fight the Long War, bringing pain and terror to all who worship the corpse-god of Terra. A summons from Warmaster Abaddon sends these rebels on a dangerous journey that leads inexorably to a conflict with the Emperor’s chosen warriors: the Blood Angels.
Book one in the Night Lords series.

Reviews

  • Great read, surprising depths.

I wasn't sure how much I'd enjoy this book, but I gave the author the benefit of the doubt, based on the strength of "The First Heretic". I was not disappointed; this was a fantastic read, and provided a much deeper, broader context for the actions of a heretical legion, just as in First Heretic. I strongly recommend it, and I will be purchasing the sequel as soon as I'm done with this review!
  • Great Space Marine chapter

Great read. The night lords are fast becoming one of my favorite chapters. Their treachery against the empire has to do with the way that the emperor treated their primarch and they very begrudgingly sided with the forces of Chaos.
