This book discusses issues such as the changes from confederation to unitary state to federation, debt, world wars, the division of East and West Germany, constitutional changes, relations with the EU, and other historical events. The young reader is encouraged to analyze past events and draw conclusions about how outside factors modified Germany s political system and world influence.
