Glitter Magazine’s #1 Pick for Best YA of 2020
Optioned for Film by Universal

My whole world changed when I stepped inside the academy. Nothing is right about this place or the other students in it. Here I am, a mere mortal among gods…or monsters. I still can’t decide which of these warring factions I belong to, if I belong at all. I only know the one thing that unites them is their hatred of me.

Then there’s Jaxon Vega. A vampire with deadly secrets who hasn’t felt anything for a hundred years. But there’s something about him that calls to me, something broken in him that somehow fits with what’s broken in me.
Which could spell death for us all.

Because Jaxon walled himself off for a reason. And now someone wants to wake a sleeping monster, and I’m wondering if I was brought here intentionally—as the bait.

***INCLUDES 3 BONUS SCENES FROM THE HERO’S POV***

Honestly I tried. I can’t even say I have high standards, because I’ve read like…AI generated werewolf smut. This reads like a pre-teen fever dream. Beyond romanticizing verbally and emotionally abusive men, it also constantly gives the “damsel in distress energy.” I made it halfway through the book before my eyes hurt from rolling so much I had to put it down. Seriously, I don’t mind a good romance, I’ll even overlook the toxicity for the sake of the story, but man. This is just…it’s not well written enough for me to get past it. On the plus side, the stilted dialogue and one-dimensional characters are going to do great in whatever FX or SciFi Channel show this ends up being.

I was so invested, as I always am. I was so excited for the next book, as I should be. But after reading through the comments on the next few books, my heart was absolutely crushed. Pummeled. Utterly broken. Jaxon and Grace don’t survive. Despite all 700+ pages of pure love and determination, the ship goes absolutely nowhere. I understand the writer needed a plot twist, but I genuinely feel like I didn’t deserve this kind of turnaround. I really would have given it a 5 if not for that. *sigh* Read at your own discretion.

She writes poorly. The concept is nice, but the writing is that of a 6th grader thinking they’re going to become an author. First 3 books are alright. The rest of it is painful to get through. I had to skim read just to finish it and be done with this series. Way too long for no reason.

Crave is the first book in the Crave series and this was just a fantastic way to start off a new series. I was just completely drawn into this world with all of its amazing characters. There was just so much going on with this story you were just constantly learning new things about this world. I can’t wait to see where the author takes this series.

One of the best books I have read, Grace's character is very well developed. I wasn’t expecting the outcome.

It has its moments where it’s amazing but then she goes on for 100 pages narrating nothing and i just skim past it to get to the point . I wish it was written a little better with the plot in mind not every single side conversation and body movement
