Description

Dominick Cassano is a dark, strong, charming, playful, smart…and oh, so beautiful Italian. He has broad shoulders, bulging arms, a sculpted chest, and a chiseled set of six-pack abs.

But is that enough to get a woman to marry him for a green card?

Obviously not! His potential wife turned into a runaway bride at their wedding. His older brother, Leo, is desperately trying to keep him in the United States. And that's when Chloe Zeller jumps right in to help save Dominic from being deported.

She knows she can't fall for the bad boy and plans to keep the marriage platonic.

But with a man like that, how can a girl stay away?

  • Cliffhanger

The story is good, the editing is mediocre with grammatical errors (not that I have ever found a perfect grammatically correct book). The romance is detailed without being too intense for sensitive readers. (A lot of kissing but not a lot of sex scenes.) However, it lost a star for me because of the cliffhanger, to be continued in the next book...

I loved the cat and mouse style of this first novel in the series. I won’t give anything away but the characters Chloe and Dominic make you hopefully for a Fake Italian lover. This book has suspense, mild erotica, spicy fights, and a wonderful storyline. Thanks Sierra Rose for your great writing talent.

This is part 1 of a 3 part serial, in case, like me, you missed seeing it in the description and are not fans of cliffhangers. Starts off going all over the place but starts to settle down as you get toward the end.
  • Very Poor Editing

“No. There are two people in this room, and I’ll keep it that way, thank you. She isn’t needed in our mar” Excerpt From: Rose, Sierra. “My Fake Italian Lover.” Dark Shadows Publishing, 2016-05-23. It seems like entire paragraphs are missing, with sloppy typos and lacunae galore. Perhaps the manuscript was rescued from the rubble left behind after an earthquake or other disaster??? Luckily, I received my copy gratis, so it was worth every penny....

I loved reading this story. Normally, I only give 4 stars because something is missing from the story. This one gave me everything I was looking for in it. I loved the the witty humor, the characters, and the not too much defining of location. Yes, I would recommend this story!

I so want to see how this ends. I could not put book down it was so good. I would highly recommend this book and if the rest of the series is as good then the series too.
  • The ending was so unnecessary

The book finally hit its paces, with a few point of view changes, then it ends with a cliffhanger which is so unnecessary. The characters weren't that interesting to warrant a second book and I had no emotional connection to them. Quite frankly, I didn't care if they succeeded or not. But I was happy to keep reading until I arrived to the final pages. This was a waste of time.
