This ibook is a great supplement to the anatomy textbooks. The ibook includes information about functions, relative locations to other structures, and clinical correlations for the structures. It has great pictures, from varying angles, that help you to really visualize the anatomy. The pictures are all first labeled with the correct names of structures. But, then in the next section, the labels are all removed and replaced with a question mark. So, you can do a self-test to see if you remember all the structures. The great part is that you can click on each question mark, and it shows the answers! My FAVORITE part of the Ibook is all the practice questions at the end! I found the practice questions to be extremely helpful in preparing for our anatomy exams. The practice questions test you on anatomy concepts and clinical correlations using radiology and gross dissection pictures. The practice questions don’t just provide the correct answers but also provide explanations for the correct answers, so you know where you went wrong in your reasoning. My only critique of the iBook is that I want more of them! I think there are iBooks for cardiopulmonary system, back and limbs, and the abdomen. The author has done such a great job with these that when I was in the other anatomy classes, I was really wanting an iBook for the reproductive anatomy, head and neck anatomy, and neuroscience anatomy. Anyhow, I definitely recommend you buying these for just a few bucks and keep your fingers-crossed for others to come out.
