Pretty good storyline, but good Lord, for someone who is a "best selling author", you'd think she would be better at spelling, tenses, and especially punctuation! *AHEM!* Ms. Hestand, you may be self-published, but if you're a "best selling author" as your book cover touts, you can afford a proofreader.
