I wish I had a book like this when I first started quilting! Sometimes it's so much easier to watch someone and understand what to do, and Alex is such a great teacher. And with the enhanced e-book, you can play it over and over again, instead of having to ask a teacher to repeat and repeat herself. What a great bonus!

I have been quilting for awhile now, and yet it’s nice to go back and relearn the basics like basting and hand quilting to revisit my technique. It’s so convenient to have instant access to Alex’s videos within the pages of this book. I like to take my laptop or phone with me when I am at my sewing machine, in case I need to look something up. It’s so easy to page through this digital edition to find the section I’m looking for. The book also includes beginner-friendly quilt patterns… I wish I would have had a resource like this when I first started quilting!

This is one of the only books I've seen with photos that show things from the perspective of a lefty! Most everything leaves us out completely and only shows the right-hand side. This book shows both. There are lots of pictures and diagrams that have helped me get started and be sure I'm doing it right. The videos make it like I'm in a class - invaluable. And then, at the back of the book, there are charts to make the quilts in various sizes. No math to do. I highly recommend this enhanced edition for anyone new to quilting.

This book has a great illustrations, simplified language, and easy to follow instructions. Love the videos!! The videos really add so much to the book in the way of great tips and advice. It’s like having your personal quilt teacher.

I love this interactive way of learning. Being able to see video demonstrations and read the text from my iPad is an ideal way to start quilting.
