I enjoy murder mysteries, however, this one has too much graphic violence to make it enjoyable.

I have read about a dozen of Lisa Gardner's books and enjoyed them. This was more than a mystery, it was a horror/science fiction type of bad feeling read. Gory, creepy. I realized it right after I purchased it and could not wait to be done with it. Went on and on and on, almost like the same writing was on subsequent pages, I kept thinking that it said that already. So many things in it did not make sense, illogical story line. The ending was bad. It was a no hope story that was a real downer. Hated it. Don't know why I didn't just stop and delete it. Though I figured out who done it pretty early on,I loved the way Lisa developed the characters of Adeline and Shana. Their struggle with who they are, what they've become and where they were going was very moving.

I am picky and I read highly rated authors. This hit the mark for me. A real psychological thriller!
