  • Second Chances

Callum has always strived to become the general manager of a professional hockey team. He wanted it so badly that he ended up making the biggest mistake and only regret in his life—he chose the pursuit of his career over a life with Juniper. Due to his mom’s health, he’s called back home. He knows he’ll have to face Juniper, but doesn’t realize that he’ll have to also face his long-buried feelings for Juniper. Once he realizes the truth behind Juniper’s marriage, he vows to help her and do whatever it takes to convince her that she is the love of his life. Juniper is mad and angry with Callum for making decisions about their future without her input. He left her “until he could get his life in order” so that they could have a better life. He wanted her to wait for him, but ultimately pushed her right into his stepbrother’s arms. Juniper marries him and he quickly turns into a monster. After enduring years of abuse, she allows Callum to “rescue” her, but is not so quick to give him a second chance. With danger lurking, will they get the second chance they deserve? Sawyer Bennett does it again! She has the ability to bring characters together in such unique ways. Every story in this series can be read as a standalone, but the WHOLE series is amazing! I love how beautifully written difficult topics, subjects are told. I can’t wait to see what stories Sawyer has to tell next. I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.

I couldn’t put this book down! Callum is such an incredible character with a heart of gold. Coming face to face with the one he let go, Callum realizes not only is she the one but she needs his help. A emotionally charged love story from the start, with a difficult subject matter, written beautifully with all the feels. Callum and Juniper are perfect together!
  • Another enjoyable read in this series

Callum has always wanted one thing…to be the best at his job and get a GM position somewhere. The road to that hasn’t been easy and he’s had to make a lot of choices that maybe weren’t the smartest at the time. Juniper was devastated when Callum left her behind for his career. She was sad and lonely and let someone work his way into her life, and it was the biggest mistake she made since her ultimatum to Callum. Letting Callum’s step brother take her life over was devastating. When Callum had to go back home because his mother is in the hospital he knows it will be difficult to see his former love. His stepbrother’s wife. When he sees things aren’t good with Juniper he helps her get away and gives her a new start. They will also realize the t their love isn’t dead. This book is full of emotion is steamy! You’ll enjoy seeing Callum and Juniper find their way back to the life they should have had years ago!
  • I loved every minute of it!

Callum is an excellent addition to this author’s Pittsburgh Titans series and I absolutely loved every minute of it! This author excels when it comes to writing a sports romance that not only pulls at your heartstrings, but implements that perfect mixture of romance, drama, and suspense. I love that this author doesn’t just focus on the hockey players, but also features characters that are on the more management side of things. I found Callum to a fascinating character along with understanding more about his role in the Pittsburgh Titans as the General Manager. Even though he broke Juniper’s heart in the past and made mistakes, I found him to be an ideal book boyfriend. Juniper’s backstory broke my heart. Vulnerable, yet strong she is not a victim but a survivor. Her heart is guarded and given all of the events that unraveled over the previous 15 years, can this woman open herself up to love given the possibility of getting hurt again? For a second chance romance, this author really hits it out of the park. The relationship between Juniper and Callum is real and together their love story just flows. There is some drama and suspense, mainly concentrated at the last third of the book, that had me on the edge of my seat. I would have liked a bit more steam in this novel, but I did find their physical and emotional connection to be very tangible. Callum is Book 12 in the Pittsburgh Titans Series and it can be read as a standalone. As with all of this author’s works, I become attached to her characters and I enjoyed getting caught up with some of them from her previous books in the series. All in all, Callum is an engaging, second chance sports romance that I thoroughly enjoyed!
