Description

You too can conquer the sometimes dizzying world of digital tools for the visual arts by exploring with me a variety of art and communications applications as they are used in today’s fast-paced art and design studios.

Based on my digital design college classes, "Digital Tools for the Visual Arts" is a complete course of 12 lessons that will get you up and running fast, and help you produce a portfolio suitable for seeking design employment, or to just delight and amaze your friends and family!

I’ll showcase the best of the Adobe Creative Suite line of products, focusing on the Big Four, with a special emphasis on the Mac. Photoshop and Illustrator are perhaps the most useful of the must-know killer apps in art and design today, so we'll begin  there. We’ll also review InDesign, Premiere Pro and WordPress, while I introduce you to a wide array of Mac-specific shortcuts.

Whether you're an artist or a graphic design, whether you work for yourself or an agency, or whether you are a student or teacher, these tips, tricks and techniques belong in your digital tool belt!
