I read first while in high school and now again thirty plus years later. It is now as it ever was one of the best stories of love and adventure ever written.

My mother, as a young teenager,read this book until it was hidden from her. Later,as an adult, she found a copy from an old book dealer. She taught me to love the book as she did. I was about to read her second hand book when I found this book at e-books for free. It was a great adventure story in the 1940's and is still a great story today. Wish someone would make a movie of it.

Lots of swordsmanship as one man plots revenge against a nation.

Full of adventure and sword fighting, a thoroughly enjoyable read.
