Brust gives another sliver in the world of Dragaera, with his telltale wit and patented brevity. All too short, but I'm grateful for even scraps of his clockwork universe.

It's fun when a book makes you burst out laughing, and not just for the funny looks you get. This short story is a condensed version of some of the best of Brust's sense of humor. It's probably better enjoyed with a knowledge of the characters from the Vlad series, but perhaps entertaining on it's own.
