Description

The King James Bible for ebook readers, desktops, tablets and phones. Including Old Testament and New Testament, this is a wonderful tool that keeps the scriptures at your fingertips. The translation that became the Authorized King James Bible was begun in 1604 and in 1611 was published by the Church of England, under the direction of King James. The translation was done by forty-seven Church of England scholars, the New Testament coming from the Greek Textus Receptus (Received Text), the Old Testament from the Masoretic Hebrew text, and the Apocrypha from the Greek Septuagint (LXX), except for two Esdras from the Latin Vulgate.

Great app. Only one thing your highlights don't show where it came from. But great nevertheless!

I had to scroll through 20 something comments about the price, to get to the comment about typo's, is there anything else (about The Book) that would hinder me from buying it (yeah, thats right i said BUYING, ooooooohhhh!!!)

Once you are in the text it does not show you what book you are in. Also you have to go back to the index to jump to other books. Not practice as study bible.

This edition has incredible typos. For example, St John the Divine appears as "Devine"--even in the title of the book of the Revelation. I paid for this book, and I'm very sorry I did.

People really think that Gods word is worth nothing? This is supposed to be an easily accessible iPad BOOK STORE. You do have to pay for things in book stores, just because some books are free, doesn't mean all books have to be, especially The Book.

This app was $4.99. Everyone was upset about buying a bible app. I went to the bookstore to replace a bible. $40.00. Now that's upsetting! I like this bible. I love it on my Ipad because of the dictionary. It's worth the read, and the $5.00

I'm paying for this ap simply because I want to use my iPod touch to follow in church. I'm finding the way it is set up will make that easier. I have a free one that I plan on deleting simply because for the past few weeks I can not use it to follow like I planned. Besides I'll pay to play a game why not an ap like this.
