Six women are chosen to lead a daring mission into France that would drastically affect the course of the war. They destroyed a communications center disabling German communication on D day. A magnificent read!! My highest recommendation!!

Great story teller. Similar to Eye of the Needle in the timeline of the story. If you like the championing of homosexuals, and transgenders you will love this ‘fairy tale’. I could have done without that narrative.
  • No fan of war novels, I did enjoy this one. Good characters,

Mr. Follett delivers an exciting look into the behind the scenes activities that took place during WWII. As usual, he has given us a wonderful story which not only entertains us but also helps us understand an important time in world history. His characters are so real and unforgettable. I can't wait to read another one of his novel. I would strongly suggest you read Pillars of the Earth, World Without End, a Dangerous Fortune, and Fall of Giants. All excellent reads!
