The book is well written, and the storyline is very good. The problem is that it gets very depressing and lonely for a very long time. The conclusion of the book, however is fantastic. I wanted to add that I probably learned more about Lakota culture reading this book than I have from any other source. Simmons does a great job of putting you in the moment.
