Utterly amazing. One of my all time fave books. It was raw and visceral and Viola makes you feel as if she’s sitting across from you telling her story. A story of beauty, tragedy, trauma, and healing. It is something everyone needs to read especially those who may feel lost. 10/10

Viola’s bravery in writing this left me in awe. Even the writing is real; as if I was with her in one of those soulful conversations with someone you trust. No over-constructed narrative. Although one never reaches the end of one’s journey (except when we leave the physical world…), this memoir reads like the culmination of an important phase of jer journey.

Absolutely beautiful. Heartbreaking. A story of triumph, she weaves all of her experiences to find a deeper sense of purpose. Best biography I’ve read all year.
