The Gangster by C.S. Poe was given in exchange for an honest review. Imagine, New York end of 1881 into 1882. Gillian Hamilton, a federal agent meeting the number one wanted man Gunner the Deadly for New Years Eve. The presence of TicTock and his deadly band of monsters ruins Gillian and Gunner’s date. With the weird new magic and its effect on Gillian as well as his boss Moore finding out who Gillian was dating it was going to be a long few days. I loved this book, it was engaging right for word one. The descriptions and world building Poe gave us was like being an observer as the events took place. The chemistry between Gunner and Gillian is beautiful and so real in essence you want them to be together always. I really cannot wait for the next installment.
