This is one of the best books I’ve read in a long time.

A fast paced thriller that keeps you guessing! From the first few chapters it’s easy to get hooked and I still feel the beginning was my favorite part of the book. There were many plot twists I just didn’t see coming. Some of the character development fell a bit flat for me, but overall I found the plot captivating. Everything I’ve picked up from this author I’ve been impressed with and I’ll continue to pick up her work in the future!

As a new mom, this book made me want to puke. I had to put it down in the first few chapters and come back to it later, but I’m so glad I did. It was very twisty (I don’t always love when all of the twists come out at the end all together) but I never knew how things would end until they did. So dark and interesting. This was my first Mary Kubica book but I will definitely be reading more!

I had my suspicions from the beginning and I turned out to be right. It was a good book but some parts were a little slow to get through. It seemed predictable
  • Good plot twist

I have mixed feelings about this book. The writing is great, the story kept me engaged and wanting to read until the very end. That said, the ending was a little unbelievable. Actually, more than a little unbelievable. Maybe if some small clues were dropped along the way, I would have bought into it a little more. Nothing revealing but just enough to raise a little suspicion. Other than the ending, I enjoyed it.
