I love war movies. This one was severely lacking. Almost no back story and no character development. It’s like it just drops you in the middle of the story, shows some battle scenes that have some energy but too difficult to really tell what’s going on...some scenes where just ridiculous....having the Germans send messages over the radio taunting them were, I thought, terrible. I don’t think that would actually happen, and it added nothing at all to the story. Tom Hanks is, well, Tom Hanks but this movie did nothing for his acting career that’s for sure. This was my first Apple TV movie and it did not set a good example to me of what to watch on Apple TV. OH! And there were actual commercials! Just cut right in the middle of the scene to a commercial, at least three times during the movie! They were 45-90 seconds long. I would NOT recommend Greyhound or Apple TV at this point.
