I have absolutely adored this series!!! I have been blown away by Annie and Tyler and Piper Lawson's beautiful writing. You must read book 1, A Love Song for Liar first! Rebels picks up about a year later from where Liars ended, Annie and Tyler are both attending a performing arts college in New York. I loved Annie not instantly forgiving Tyler even though she is drawn to him and the chemistry is still strong. I appreciated the character growth in book 2 and Tyler having to prove himself. Annie and Tyler discover they are most content when they are in each other lives. Rekindling their relationship and really shining together made me so happy. Wonderful and intriguing side characters, I hope there will be more of Beck and Rae in the future plus, I truly need Jax Jamieson to be redeemed and to come around with supporting Annie and Tyler's relationship. Fingers crossed the next two books deliver!! This ended on a huge anticipated cliffhanger, can't wait to continue the next book, as the series is complete. Narrators - Teddy Hamilton and Rose Dioro - crushed it again with fantastic narrations and really brought out the emotions of Annie and Tyler.

This was a slow burn that darn brought me to my knees. I didn’t want Tyler and Annie to part ways and it totally gutted me at the end of A Love Song for Liars. I didn’t want them apart but Tyler made a decision that I wanted to kick his butt for. I loved that Annie took her emotions and put it into doing what she loved and that she wasn’t letting anything or anyone get in her way. It took awhile for them to both get on the same page and though the tension build up was frustrating me, I’m glad they took their time getting to know one another again. It was glorious but again Piper left us with a twist at the end! I can’t wait to see what happens next.

I absolutely love this author so much. I started with Jax and his story and it was amazing but the way the author was about to do Tyler’s and Annie’s is so amazing and gives all emotions one wants. I literally can’t wait until the last book comes out.. I already pre ordered it!

In media res. We are at book two and it’s the book with growth, Tyler and Annie have moved on, they are both at Vanier. But things are complicated with an extra helping of the feels and angst. I’m committed and can’t wait for book 3. Gotta see how this all plays out. Recommend.

I thought I loved the first book in this series but I stand corrected! Tyler and Annie’s story in this continuation is what any reader would want in a second book in a series. Chemistry, angst, heartbreak, love, friendships, painful pasts, and overbearing parents are all elements that Piper has written expertly in this book. You will be hooked until the end and then you will want to re-read to make sure you didn’t miss a thing.

Can I just say how much I loved Jax Jamieson...until this series. In A Love Song for Liars, we saw Annie and Tyler going through teenage angst and high school drama. Jax made me angry but in this book I think he needs a kick in the pants! This book starts off on the first day at a prestigious music college. Annie is a freshman and Tyler in his second year. When they run into each other on the first day, it’s so awkward you just want to cry and laugh and cheer and scream. I love how Annie has matured and grown into a strong, woman and Tyler is just...sigh, perfectly Tyler. The way they find their way back to each other is so real and raw. Piper didn’t run the usual script here of misunderstanding coming between them. These two love each other so much, they just can’t run from the other. The ending is a cliffhanger (and oh boy is it a doozy!) but that only makes me want book 3 more! I love all the roommates too, particularly Beck. I do hope he gets his own book someday. I couldn’t decide between reading this quickly or slowly. I had to argue with myself to put it down after a few chapters so it wouldn’t be over so quickly. Love love love this series and this author!
