this book is supposed to be an action thriller. But there is too much religous nonsense and it detracts from the story line. This book should be listed under “religious lessons” instead of a military action thriller

As a fan of Joel, I hate to say this book is a let down. Maybe in a COVID 19 world the action seems almost boring? Character development is missing. This book stands extremely separate from the first two books. Marcus doesn’t seem to be the same character as in the other books. I feel as if Marcus was more Joel than Marcus. So much political commentary throughout the book. The reason I read books is to get a way from politics and not have another author tell me what to think. The storyline lagged. Ending predictable. Too much of the authors political dreams in one book. So much potential to be great, however, I think the author should take a step back and focus on the art of storytelling.
