I've been hoping for novels featuring the characters from the current trilogy having 'adventures since The Force Awakens. With The Last Jedi happening so soon after the events of TFA, there wasn't much room for these kinds of stories. But with what is, apparently, a decent chunk of time between TLJ and Rise of Skywalker, I hope we get more books like this one. It's not perfect; the ending felt a wee bit rushed, and I definitely felt the "young" in "young adult" from the writing style. But ultimately, this left me excited for more Star Wars, and really, what better result can come from reading a Star Wars novel? The Force is strong with this one.
