From the beginning, you can feel the sarcasm and power struggle between the main characters. Alpha male, not wanting a relationship meets woman who is a strong woman. She stands up for herself, esp to him!! There is a security firm involved with that aspect that is forBidden for anything to happen between them. If you know JKenner, that never stops her. There is rocky start, and sexy middle and happy ending. That’s all you need to know to buy this book and demolish it in one single day. JKenner always includes some part of stark (which is my fave of all time series and Man of the Month!! ) and she never fails to disappoint. It’s one of her faster reads, but you won’t regret reading it. J Kenner is an author that makes you have all the good feelings along with the dirty parts as well.

Lovely Little Liar is entertaining, and a sweet romance that’s lighthearted, fun, and serious. J. Kenner brings snarky, banter and heat as mistaken identity brings these two together. Both are meeting other people, under quite different circumstances, until taken by lust and pure wishful thinking Pierce mistakes Jezebel for his blind date hook-up. After being rejected three hours before his wedding Pierce doesn’t do relationships anymore. He is doesn’t have the time and doesn’t want to put in the effort. But when Jezebel makes a hasty exit, he realizes that just maybe he wanted more with her. Jezebel is looking to hire some security while her sister the actress in town only to get nowhere with the handsome security guy. But when he comes to their rescue a few hours later, when their location is compromised by a hotel employee tweet, Jezebel sees a very different side to him. These two, quickly develop wild cravings and desperate longings for each other. With nightly firing and daily rehiring, of the security hunk, it looks like Pierce just might have found the right one after all. Great short read. What a fun and sexy read. This is a novella and a short read. J Kenner is one of my favorite authors for writing sexy times. Even though this story is short, it still packs the heat. Pierce is all alpha male who is only interested in a casual hookup. When he meets Jez by mistake, he is taken with the fireball. Jez is in Austin with her sister and ends up needing Pierce more than she thought. This is a short story and the chemistry between Pierce and Jez heats up quick. As with all novellas, I wish it was a longer story, but it was a good read. Good things come in small packages!

Loved Pierce & Jez!! They are both fantastic characters and very likable, in fact I totally wished this was longer! They start off meeting due to a case of mistaken identity, and have some great back and forth for a bit, but it quickly becomes obvious that they have a crazy amount of chemistry and are perfect together. Trust me they have great back and forth once they do give in to each other too. I also really liked the actual story as well. This was a fast, but sweet and very sexy read and I look forward to more from this world.

He's been burned and burned badly. Sworn off any "relationship" longer than one night, he's prepared to meet the next bedpost notch for drinks, some innuendos, and finally, well.... you know. What he wasn't prepared for was HER. Jezebel. A case of mistaken identity leads him on a path he swore he'd never walk again. Rules will be broken for sure, but what about his heart? Will that be broken again, or does he finally have a chance at forever this time? Jez needs help. Her famous sister has been the target of tabloid gossip and her career it tenuous at best. She needs someone to protect her not only from the angry fans, but from herself as well. Hiring Blackwell-Lyon might be the smartest and the dumbest idea she's ever had. She has rules about getting too close to people, especially ones she employs. But Pierce Blackwell makes her want to thrown those rules out the window. Should she listen to her head and keep her professional distance, or should she throw caution to the wind and listen to her heart instead? What a great read. I loved the banter between these two, and the chemistry is off the charts! That window scene - Holy hotness!! Definitely recommend this one to anyone!!

This book is a very corky and fun to read. Pierce Blackwell is a single guy just looking for one nightstands. Jezebel Stuart is looking for a security detail. It is by mistake that they happened to meet. What comes from this meeting no one see coming. This is a different kind of book for Julie Kenner. I love it. It is fun and happy and of course very very hot.

What a fabulous first meeting. This sets the tone for this fun, sexy romance told from Pierce’s POV. Jezebel is strong, sexy and confident, all hot buttons that grab Pierce’s attention. When she storms off, he realizes something has gone horribly wrong which leads him down a path to find her. Their next encounter is exciting as he rescues Jez and her sister, Delilah. From here the struggle is real as Jez needs Pierce’s help but he doesn’t hook-up with clients. Their creativity to overcome these hurdles is clever. The real question is, will the master of hook-ups find himself permanently caught? Grab this for a quick, fun, sexy read.

Main Character Description: Pierce Blackwell, relationship jaded, former military and security expert. Jezebel Stuart, relationship jaded, sister and manager to actress Delilah Stuart. Pierce mistakenly takes Jez as his one night stand he arranged from the 2Nite App. Jez mistakenly takes Pierce as the new head security guy for her actress sister Delilah. Pierce pieces the puzzle together after Jez storms out of the restaurant, only to save the day when Delilah's hotel location gets compromised. This Novella is enjoyable read but since it is on the shorter side, you don't get too much meat into the relationship. These two meet, display instant attraction only to have to put it on hold when Jez ends up hiring Pierce's security firm to protect her sister. They struggle to contain that attraction until they no longer can. With so many celebrity/bodyguard romances out there, I like that the author switched it up and made the celebrity a side character. That she made the sister who ultimately is living in her sisters world be the one to find love with the bodyguard. If you are looking for a quick read that is pretty low angst, a sexy beginning story to a very likable couple, then this is a good choice.

Such a great book! I loved the sassy banter between Pierce and Jez!! This is a slow boil and then full on rolling boil. Who knew someone could be so happy to be fired?!? Only J Kenner could get away with this :) There is even mention of several of our Stark World characters. There's to be a follow up and I'm really excited to read it!!

I. Loved. This. Book. Written from Pierce's point of view, this hot witty businessman is determined to remain single. Can Jez change his way of thinking? Can she allow her career and personal life to meld together? I love the romance, sexy time and the flow of the book. A fantastic read!
