    The premise of this book is really interesting, and I think there’s probably a great story here! Unfortunately, I can’t make it more than a few pages. Really, I kept trying! But this book needs some serious editing and cuts. It’s impossible to keep track of all of the supporting characters mentioned, and it prevents the story from moving forward. I kept thinking this was maybe the end of a series, because it assumes you know who everyone is and their story, but no, this is book 1. Even the few stories that might connect- like the child who had apparently been abandoned by his mother over the holidays- only give enough to make you scratch your head and wonder what you missed. The story jumps and spins, and it based mostly on dialogue. In short: Invest in an editor, and release the book. It’ll be well worth it.

    Love the Butler, Vermont series from Marie Force. I didn't realize how much I had missed reading about the characters in the Green Mountain series but there is a seamless transition. This is the story of Grayson Coleman and Emma, (Lucy's sister) along with daughter Simone. Grayson has recently moved back home. He is unsettled and sure what he wants to do. Simone is a sweet 9 year old who lets Grayson know that her mom likes to dance. But Grayson and Emma spend more time talking and sharing things with each other that no one else knows. Could they fall that fast? I loved the other storylines in the book as well as it updates us on a other family members. As always Marie Force leaves us looking forward to the next story. You will definitely want to catch up with the Abbots and Colemans in this really sweet story.

    I started reading Marie Force books a few years ago. Force is a wonderful storyteller who really knows how to connect with readers. She develops characters better than any other author, and you will be certain these people are real and alive, and you will want to find them, befriend them, and join them in their world in Butler, Vermont. Grayson and Emma's story is sweet. A single, successful man falls for a single mother and her adorable daughter. If you haven't read the other Green Mountain series books, I recommend reading them in order, but this one could be a stand alone as Force is excellent in keeping readers up to speed. I have read ALL of Marie Force's books, and my only complaint is that she can't write the next book in each of her series fast enough. Great read that I tried to read slowly because I didn't want it to end!

    Marie Force has out done herself. Absolutely loved it. It takes a real man to be father to someone else child. I absolutely fell in love with Emma and Grayson💕. Can't wait to see what Marie has in store.

    Sweet story with steam. This is my first read in this series so I missed much of the side line stories. Look forward to the next. Good read.
