This book is a wonderful tool to help you in your everyday life. It shows us that God has already won we just have to trust in him and put him first in all we do. All thing are possible in Christ.

This is an outstanding book to help guid ones walk in the life of following Christ and Glorifying God! To look at each challenge (Giant) in the daily walk as a Christian with the help of this book is spectacular! Will be re-reading this book many times!

Louis Giglio writes an incredibly encouraging testimony using David's victory over Goliath to demonstrate God's ability to work change in our lives. Instead of casting ourselves in the role of David, we realize Jesus was David taking on our Goliaths on the cross. God has granted victory and brought himself glory in Christ and Louis motivates us to magnify God's victory in our own lives.

This book helps remind us all that our giant(s) have already been defeated through the power of Christ's crucifixion on the cross. This is not a self help, do it all on your own book. But it takes the reader on a journey to learn how to "lean together toward Jesus in faith and action." This book helped me identify the giants in my life and gave me hope that I don't have to live under the debilitating weight of those giants any longer. "Our ultimate defense against giants is to lean into the all sufficiency of Jesus!" I am already reading this book for the second time! There is so much strong insight and powerful words that help point me to Jesus and reinforce that although my giant is big, Jesus is so much bigger. "Take heart because none of these giants are a match for Jesus!" Thank you Louie for being receptive to the calling of Christ in your life and allowing God to speak through you to defeat the giants in our lives!

This is a book you must have. I love the take of Louie on this David and Goliath story. Yes we have heard it many times, we probably know it back and forth but... My goodness the fresh perspective Giglio gives us in this book is breathtaking. If you want to be encouraged, if you don't want to feel alone in your fight(s), pick up this book and let the Gospel shine new light over your circumstances.

Love that this book doesn't shy away from the hard issues that we all face ... whether that be fear, rejection, addiction, anger, [fill-in-the-blank]. It can often seem like a losing battle, but Louie reminds us that no matter how big our giants are, we have a BIGGER God. It's not about trying harder, but about letting God do what we can never do our own. Jesus is > than any giants that we are facing or will face in the future. Louie Giglio's new book is amazing. Having grown up in the church, I've heard the David & Goliath story told approximately 50 million times. From childhood this is one of the greatest hits of the Bible. In every telling of the story, however, I was always encouraged to BE David in the story and slay the Goliaths in my life. Louie takes the story in a different application: JESUS is David. That simple yet profound shift is a game changer in the application of the story to our lives. He traces common "giants" in our lives such as fear (my biggest giant), anger, comfort, addiction, and he traces the way those giants can impact our lives. He gives practical application and is candid in sharing his own personal struggle with each of the giants. By reminding us that Jesus has won the battle for us, he helps the reader to refocus their energy from attempting to slay the giant on their own to leaning into the mighty Warrior from Calvary who has already done that and letting Him be enough in each area of our lives.
