I am by no means a voracious reader but I became one while reading this book. Such a fabulous read that I couldn’t put down.

The book's enchanting narrative took a regrettable turn in its final chapters, as the resolution of characters' lives unfolded with an unexpected shift toward clichéd romance, eroding the essence of its compelling historical fiction. The abrupt descent into predictability nearly derailed my engagement, leaving a lingering sense of disappointment. While 'The Rose Code' had been a triumph, the allure for further exploration of the author's works waned in the wake of this unfortunate conclusion. A lamentable divergence from the anticipated brilliance.

It started out a little on the slow side but soon became a page turner. Definitely worth the read.

This book kept me on the edge of my seat, and was nearly impossible to put down.

This is a quick, easy read. Full of historical data and mixed with fiction to combine two stories. Extremely riveting, entertaining, and hard to put down. The author does these women (both real and fictional) credit with this story. Highly recommended if you have any love for patriotism for our shared battles in both WW1 and WW2.
