The characters really grab you by the heart and squeeze!

I dove headfirst into this book and read it in one night. I love Shelby’s character - her pain is so raw and relatable. Her self-punishment and grief is so beautifully written, and I could not put it down. I needed to know Shelby was going to be alright. I love this book. I love this author, who also wrote Practical Magic.

Loved it. Realistic struggles with a hopeful energy.

It was good. Not near as awesome as The Dovekeepers, but good. I think I’ve red every AH book since that one.

one of my favorites

This book is amazing! It walks you through the PTSD of surviving an intense car wreck. Alice has done a wonderful job of taking us on a journey through this book!

This is a book about love, redemption and forgiveness. All gifts we need to bestow on ourselves and on others.

I stumbled upon this book and ended up finishing it in one day. It is perfect for anyone who is or knows someone who is having a hard time in their late teens to late twenties; whether that be a daughter, a parent, a boyfriend, or a young man. It makes you feel normal and gives you hope. Amazing book.

4.5 stars This is a great story for mature teens and adults in my opinion. The main character goes through bits of those stages of her life during this book. It highlights how some things and people will affect you forever and how some things and people will not remain the focus of your life. It shows how a person can change everything around and how pain and joy come and go. The lead is in a tragic accident, which stops her from moving forward. After trying to end it, she has to reset her life. She slowly heals and finds her path. Really, it’s hard to sum up this story because I can’t explain the depth of life that takes place within its words. I definitely recommend this book.

Another incredible book from my favorite author. Superbly written, this novel made me laugh and cry.
