The cover art makes my eyes bleed, and I honestly have no idea why the reviews are so good. It actually starts off interesting, like a noir mystery, but then turns into a bad CS Lewis novel. I’ve heard the female characters get better, but for the entirety of this first book, they are dismissed from the main character’s reasoning because they don’t have real opinions. At least it only took me 4 hours to read.
A fantasy fiction classic!

Book one of Zelazny’s unforgettable fantasy saga of Machiavellian intrigue and worlds beyond imagination. I envy those readers who will discover this and read it for the first time!

It Begins!

This is the first installment of the original 5 book Amber series featuring Corwin as the leading character. Much of this first book deals with the different complex realities that are based in the one reality; Amber itself, and the development of the fascinating characters involved. This begins probably the best Fantasy series ever written. A true work of genius.
Where are the rest?

There are five books in the Corwin cycle and five more in the Merlin cycle. Looking through this entry I see what appears to be both available as single-purchase collections — in Polish. Not English, POLISH!

I had forgotten all about this series. I read it 20 plus years ago. The first two books in theis series are well worth the read. The next six... Not so good.
