Description

NATIONAL BESTSELLER • Don’t let your contradictions keep you from your calling.

“This book will challenge you and encourage you into a life characterized by prayerful dependence and decisiveness—your life will never be the same.”—Mark Batterson, author of The Circle Maker

Many of us are overwhelmed by the gap between our weaknesses and our dreams, between who we are and who God says we are meant to be. We feel unqualified to do God’s work or to live out the possibilities we imagine. But God has a way of using our weaknesses for good. In fact, God loves unqualified people.

This is a book about understanding your identity in light of who God is. It’s a book about coming to terms with the good, the bad, and the unmentionable in your life and learning to let God use you. It’s about charging into the gap between your present circumstances and your future dreams and meeting God there. After all, God can’t bless who you pretend to be. But he longs to bless who you really are: a flawed and broken person. Fortunately for us God is in the business of using broken people to do big things.

I read this book during the COVID-19 outbreak in late April 2020 and I’ve been spending a lot of time thinking about my future and what it holds as far as getting a job and feeling unqualified, but this book has reminded me that our true qualification comes from knowing Christ and having a relationship with Him. Thank you, Pastor Steven!

I can’t even remember when I started this book maybe a year ago. From the start I enjoyed every moment but at times would just not read it and mainly Bc I lack in finishes things in general. My Father just passed away In the month of September 2019 and honestly it’s been a lot of tough trails that have come my way since, but also it’s been where I have felt the most peace in my life. For so long I have tried to compare myself to anything I saw as qualified but as my relationship continues to grow with God I’ve realized how much he loves me for who I am and wants to show me what he has put in me and to embrace this new season with my focus and commitment to getting to know him. And I know it will position to help my family but also my community in Long Island New York . I truly appreciate this book pastor Furtick and May God bless you and continue to bless your ministry.

In this particular season,I am having struggles with a job that I feel like I am not making progress on, relationships that have been altered, leading a Youth Ministry and keeping a home. I literally have been feeling that I wasn't capable to handle all of this. It all rooted from the Unqualified perspective as I was giving up due to feeling like a failure to my shortcomings. This book was a blessing to me. I know that God placed this book in my life for a reason and I now understand that I put too much pressure on myself to be everything to everyone. God accepts me as I am and I didn't understand that my shortcomings are what God uses to bless you. Bless you Pastor Furtick do
