All were great but my favorite one was The Clay Jack-O-lantern.

This is a great little Halloween story book for children to read and families read together. There are five short stories, mostly light-hearted spooky and one with a little bit of a darker ending, but that just gives a child the chance to further the story and create their own “happy ending” if that’s best for their frame of mind. Each story has an excellent fun activity that is loosely tied to the story. The activities are cute and easy, and relatively inexpensive. Following the stories are lots and lots of age-appropriate Halloween jokes. I thought most all were clever and funny. As a bonus, the author offers a free gift of an ebook titled, “It’s Okay to be Different,” which is about accepting and celebrating others for their differences. What a wonderful message. This might be especially helpful to boost the confidence of a kid who loves spooky stuff since that might not be mainstream for elementary school-aged children. But I can say, when they get older, there’s definitely a community of people who love all things Halloween and spooky that will welcome them with open arms! This book is an excellent addition to the holiday library of children and perfect for families to experience together!
